About the Author

Bekkah believes in the power of bravery and authenticity to make the world a better place. She invites you on a journey to discover radical empathy and the importance of compassion.

Bekkah holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Wells College, where she graduated magna cum laude. Her non-fiction essay, The Black Dog, has been published in The Healing Muse. The Great Quiet is her debut novel.

She has wanted to be a writer ever since figuring out (at the ripe old age of 6) that she was too clumsy for ballet.

Outside of writing, Bekkah enjoys swimming, sudoku, and memes; she is also an outspoken advocate for mental health. She owns a local media business, iHeart Oswego, and also works in marketing. Bekkah lives in Central New York with her husband, daughter, and their two dogs. She and her husband’s family summer in the Thousand Islands.
